Often times, people will think of how because fossil fuels are non-renewable, we must switch to other forms of energy such as hydroelectricity. However, because of the major amount of climate change that has been occurring globally, those forms of energy cannot be used for much longer either.
I found this article very enlightening and brought up an interesting new point that I haven't given much thought before I read it.

We clearly show that power plants are not only causing climate change, but they might also be affected in major ways by climate," says IIASA Energy Program Director Keywan Riahi, a study co-author.
